Designers will work with you to understand your future kitchen requirements, prepare designs and perspectives (a repetitive process) to ensure your kitchen functions properly, and assist you in selecting cabinetry, decorative hardware, and countertops.

Our Designers will work with you throughout the entire process, i.e. introduction to Diversified Kitchens and our products, understanding your expectations for your new kitchen, measuring the space in your home where the kitchen will be located, recommend any possible remodeling that would get you where you want to be, assist you in selecting the products that fit your needs, prepare designs and perspectives with detailed reviews keeping in mind your budgetary targets, order products, coordinate deliveries, work with contractors to ensure they have the latest designs to ensure everything is done per spec, follow up with our suppliers in the event an issue occurs and get it fixed as soon as possible.  Your Diversified Kitchens Designer will be the primary contact throughout the entire process.

Cabinets account for about half the total cost of the project and will have the greatest impact on your budget. They range in price considerably based on quality, the type of material they are made of, and whether they are stock (ready-made in specific sizes) or custom (produced specifically for your kitchen in whatever sizes are needed).

The material you choose for surfaces including counters, backsplashes, and floors can also account for variations in price.

Diversified Kitchens does anything requiring cabinetry, decorative hardware, and countertops, i.e. baths, entertainment centers, etc.

We are open six days a week. Our showroom hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm, and Saturday, 8am to noon.  No appointment necessary for Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are by appointments only. Our designers will also be happy to meet with you at a time and place that is convenient for you.

The “work triangle” is the kitchen area from the refrigerator to the main cooking area to the main sink.  Connect the three and it should form a triangle, unless you have a one wall kitchen. The “work triangle” ensures that all the key kitchen activities, i.e. food preparation, cooking, and clean-up, are efficiently located.

We can install the cabinetry and decorative hardware we sell.  Countertops we sell are installed by our Suppliers.

We have an extensive number of offerings as follows:

• Quartz: Durable, virtually maintenance free.
• Granite: Durable, very natural/dramatic movement, can stain, requires periodic maintenance.
• Marble: Can scratch, scorch, and stain.
• Quartzite: Durable, very natural/dramatic movement, can stain, requires periodic maintenance.
• Solid Surfaces: Can be customized to create unique and seamless surfaces, intricate inlays and trivets. Can scratch.
• Laminates: Very cost effective. Can scratch, scorch, and stain.

Recommendations:

• Quartz for its durability and if maintenance is a concern.
• Granite and Quartzite for their durability and if maintenance is not a concern.

There are options to placing a microwave on the counter and taking up valuable countertop space.  Wall cabinets specifically built for microwaves are available. Also, microwave base cabinets are available and in recent years microwave drawers have become very popular.

GCFI stands for Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters. GFCI monitors the balance of electrical current moving through the circuit. If an imbalance occurs, GFCI cuts off the electricity. Its purpose is to prevent fatal electrical shocks. As you know, water and electricity are a deadly combination. Since both are necessary in kitchens and bathrooms, all switches, sockets, breakers and circuits for those rooms should be GFCI protected for your family’s safety.
